- Confirmed! Imran Khan to Make His Comeback Alongside Bhumi Pednekar
Imran Khan makes his long-awaited comeback with the Netflix film Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, a romantic drama co-starring Bhumi Pednekar.
After nearly ten years of staying away from the big screen, Imran Khan is finally back—and this time, he’s stepping into something fresh. The actor, known for his effortlessly relatable roles in films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and Delhi Belly, has officially started shooting for his comeback film titled Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. What’s exciting is that the film is being made for Netflix, marking Imran’s first venture into the world of streaming. His return has been talked about for a while, but now it’s real—the cameras are rolling, and a new chapter is unfolding.
The film reunites Imran with director Danish Aslam, who last worked with him back in 2010 on Break Ke Baad, a rom-com that still holds a soft spot in many hearts. After over a decade, the two are teaming up again, this time with a more layered, emotional story that still carries that signature charm. Shooting kicked off recently in Mumbai, and the buzz has already started building, especially among fans who’ve missed Imran’s unique screen presence.
Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is being described as a “dysfunctional romantic dramedy”—basically a mix of romance, drama, and offbeat humour, with a touch of emotional chaos. The title itself hints at something a little broken yet beautiful, a story of love that isn’t perfect but still meaningful. That kind of storytelling has always been Imran’s strength—playing characters that feel real, flawed, and quietly lovable. It sounds like a film that stays true to what made people fall in love with his earlier work, while offering something deeper and more grown-up.
Starring opposite him is Bhumi Pednekar, and joining the cast is Gurfateh Pirzada from Class. But Imran isn’t just acting—he’s also co-producing the film along with Danish Aslam, under their banner in collaboration with Open Air Films, the team behind Leila and Cobalt Blue. The shoot is expected to wrap by July, and if all goes as planned, we’ll see Imran light up the screen again when the film premieres on Netflix India in early 2026. For fans who’ve been patiently waiting, this feels like a comeback worth celebrating
